Tsu (津市, Tsu-shi) is the capital of Mie Prefecture, Japan. It is located on Ise Bay. The closest airport is Chubu Centrair International Airport, on an artificial island in Ise Bay, south of Nagoya and is accessible by high speed boat. From Centrair to Tsu city takes about 40 minutes via high speed ferry. There are 14 round trips per day, leaving Centrair on the hour every hour from 7am to 10pm, and a one-way ticket costs 1,890 yen. It takes 10 minutes by bus from the marina to Tsu Station. More information is available from the Centrair website, and the Nagisamachi Marina website.

Tsu is on the Kisei Main Line, Kintetsu Nagoya Line, and Ise Railway. From Nagoya city takes about 50 minutes by JR’s “Kaisoku Mie” (JR Nagoya station to Tsu station), or by Kintetsu Limited Express (Kintetsu Nagoya station to Tsu station). From Osaka city takes about 1 hour 30 minutes by Kintetsu Limited Express from Kintetsu Namba station to Tsu station.

Tsu is home to Mie University, the prefecture’s only national university. Mie Masjid is behind Mie University which is only separated by street. Mie Masjid can be accessed easily from Kintetsu Edobashi Station. From Tsu station and Nagoya station to Kintetsu Edobashi Station can use local Kintetsu train and Kintetsu Nagoya Line, respectively. It is about 15 minutes walk from Kintetsu Edobashi Station to Mie Masjid. Guide map to access Mie Masjid Click here
